One-Day Hike & Wine-Tasting Tour: 4.5 easy miles, 500’ elev. gain Join California Wine Hikes for a fun four-mile day hike at a winehiker’s paradise, 87,000-acre Henry Coe State Park, billed as the largest State Park in Northern California.
The hike Despite its large acreage, we feel that our guests will enjoy the best of Coe Park by walking the Flat Frog Trail, a relatively short but varied walk that offers some of the most splendid views and wildflower variety one can find in the San Francisco Bay Area. And if the late-season wildflowers or the local critters aren’t enough for your shutterbugging delight, views of distant rolling mountain ranges, capped off by a stroll through Coe Park’s Visitor Center, will round out your day very nicely.
The wine tasting Our day, however, will not be complete until we adjourn to nearby Pedrizzetti Winery for a gourmet picnic lunch in their private courtyard, along with a tasting of Pedrizzetti’s fine array of locally-made wines. We especially like their Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah.
