Winehiker Witiculture

Just one week left to win that bottle of Dominus

If you haven’t yet entered my July contest to win a bottle of 2004 Dominus Estate from Napa Valley, there are only seven days remaining!

Entering is easy – all you have to do is subscribe! You have your choice, too: receive my latest Winehiker Witiculture posts via email or via RSS feed.

The 2004 Dominus Estate is a remarkable Napa Valley blend that should age quite well.

Unlike the Publishers Clearinghouse contests where you are competing with millions of other people, your chances of winning this lovely wine are relatively good exceptional extraordinarily phenomenal.

So, at the risk of staring into the gaping maw of shameless hucksterism, I hereby doth proclaim, Subscribe Today!

Want to know more about the wine and this contest? See Win a bottle of 2004 Dominus Estate from The Winehiker and my follow-up post, Dominus Estate contest update.

    Hey
I enjoy your blog but if I win the wine will you ship it to the UK or expect me to collect?

    Cheers…

Hi Alastair! You ask a good question. The answer is a qualified “yes” – at least to the first half of your question. While some major wine retailers will ship California wine internationally, restrictions kick in at the 14% alcohol level. Naturally the 2004 Dominus has an alcohol level of 14.1%!!

But since I haven’t characterized this contest with such onerous bureaucratic fine print (at least not TOO much of it, I hope) I will make every attempt to honor my contest winner with that bottle of Dominus regardless of locale, assuming the shipper already ships wine there.

The short answer, Alastair, is that I should be able to ship to you in the UK. And if you win, I will!

That being said, if you win that bottle and you come to California to collect it in person, the least I can do is take you on a celebratory winehiking tour here among those venerable California redwoods.

    Cheers back atcha!

    Thanks for the offer.
I ought to schedule a visit since I know nearly nothing about Californian wines and there’s no better way to learn than to visit the vineyards.
    Maybe 2008…
